Joe has an extensive background in the field of psychiatry, specializing in the treatment of diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. His focus spans various mental health conditions, encompassing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Psychotic Disorders (such as Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and substance-induced psychosis), Bipolar Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety Disorders (including OCD, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, and Separation Anxiety Disorder), Major Depression, Movement Disorders (specifically Tardive Dyskinesia and akathisia), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Use Disorders, Binge Eating Disorder, Pathological Gambling, Personality Disorders, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (with expertise in Matthews’ Protocol), and psychiatric approaches to managing PANS/PANDAS.

With nearly 15 years of psychiatric experience in diverse settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency crisis response centers, Joe is well-versed in addressing a wide spectrum of mental health needs. His national presentations to fellow prescribers underscore his proficiency in the treatment and diagnosis of ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Depression, Acute Mania, Tardive Dyskinesia, and Chorea associated with Huntington’s Disease. Joe holds a waiver for specialized training in Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT), aiding individuals struggling with Substance Use Disorders. Additionally, he is a certified clozapine REMS prescriber.

In the academic realm, Joe actively contributes as adjunct faculty in the Department of Nursing at Montgomery County Community College. His teaching extends to undergraduate nursing students in clinical and classroom settings. Furthermore, he has served as a clinical faculty instructor for graduate and doctorate-level students at 19 esteemed institutions, Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude from Walden University, earning a Master of Science in Nursing. He is board-certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide comprehensive care across the lifespan. Certified as a PMHNP in NJ, NY, and PA.
